Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer

For most people the holiday season starts the day after Thanksgiving, but for me it really kicks in once all the family holiday specials start showing on TV!
Our favorite is “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.” Never miss it!  It’s amazing to think that in this age of computer-generated graphics and with every movie (like Footloose) and TV Show (Hawaii Five-O) being remade, that the classic old-school animation from the 1960s still holds up 50 years later! Some things don’t need to be messed with!

It’s a tradition at the Epps house and it’s very special to me that the same shows I watched as a kid with my parents are still on every year, because now I get to share that same feeling with my children. I hope that someday, my kids get to do the same thing with theirs!
From all of us to all of you -- have a wonderful holiday season filled with laughter, joy and warmth!

Cannes Film Festival

This year I had the pleasure to attend the 64th annual Cannes Film Festival which is properly named Festival De Cannes. Held between May 11th-22nd in this impossibly glamorous town in the
heart of the South-of-France, Festival de Cannes is lauded by the international film industry as the 'most prestigious film festival in the world' and its definitely not hard to see why as you casually stroll along the famous Croisette.
Everything goes down on the Croisette which is where the best hotels, restaurants, and designer shops are located. What makes it even more spectacular is the backdrop of the French Riviera coastline (or the he Côte d'Azur as the French say) where you can spot the large yachts parked at the local port; in the distance the Mediterranean Sea houses the mega-yachts which couldn't come closer in!
The whole vibe at the festival is not unlike most of the others, but what sets this one way apart from the rest is that it caters to the industry's biggest most international filmmakers and top-level movie stars who all come to support a diverse selection of films entered into the competition.
People travel from far and wide to line the small street outside the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès which is where the A-List movie stars walk the red carpet in breath-taking gowns or immaculate tuxedos before attending their movie screenings inside.
BUT, you've really not done the Cannes Film Festival until you've attended the biggest and best parties at the most exquisite hotels in town, thrown by some of the most luxurious brands and non-profit organizations.

High rolling in Cannes during the Film Festival was so much fun!! Can't
wait for next year!

I had a great time with close friends and associates. I think the best part of the party was the MUSIC! which was provided by my friend DJ EQUE. She is a beast on the turntables.....she gave the crowd exactly what they wanted. I couldn't began to tell you who was there because I didn't move out of my spot! I danced the whole night long. Frankie and Alice

On Wednesday Dec. 8th 2010 I had the opportunity to attend a private screening of Halle Berry's new movie Frankie and Alice at CAA. It was very intimate and invite only. In this film she plays a women who is dealing with multiple personalities disorder.  We are taken through the journey as she becomes a different person at the flick of a light!  It was very touching and moved me when I discovered this was based on a true story.  Halle Berry also produced the movie which she told me took many years to get this project underway.  Congratulations on the completion of Frankie and Alice as well as your Golden Globe nomination.

1920'S Birthday Bash for SHANTE BROADUS

Last night on October 28th my husband and I attended Shante's (Snoop's wife) birthday party at KRESS. It was a 1920' theme "Cotton Club".  Everyone came out dressed the part and we had a great time! It was a lot of OG's in the building suited and booted.  Shante looked fabulous in her full length white gown and her white fur which had rows of bling.  Her husband matched her fly.  She definitely looked like a lady from the 20's at the Cotton Club!     *HAPPY BIRTHDAY MRS. BROADUS*
